Welcome to ASSIGNMENT 08, the very first
Creative Soup community collaboration.

In recent months, the Creative Soup community--both contributors and subscribers--were encouraged to participate in ASSIGNMENT 08. It was exciting to see that more than two dozen people signed up for the project--with no clue as to what they were in for!

What was even more exciting, though, was a correspondence I received as I was preparing the ASSIGNMENT 08 packages. It was a letter from Sir Vladimir Gustav, the renowned character sketch artist from the 1960s. He heard about the Creative Soup project, and was intrigued by our efforts. As you know, Sir Gustav is somewhat of a recluse, so I am sure you will find the contents of his correspondence as curious as I!

And so, this spring, our ASSIGNMENT 08 participants embarked on a very exciting creative adventure!
