In her book The Decorated Page, Gwen Diehn writes: "Keeping a journal is truly a journey. The very words come from a common root: the Old French word journee meaning "day."

Life has indeed seemed like a journey lately. The Decorated Page, about using blank books as a form of visual and creative expression, inspired me to record it in this illustrated journal called "Stumbling into Midlife." Working on this has been a journey in itself, giving me the chance to explore all sorts of new media and techniques.
