Nuts! Tamari Almonds
submitted by Jen Payne

1 pound unblanched almonds (almonds with skins on)
2 tablespoons tamari

Tamari is a lovely, rich, smooth wheat-free soy sauce. Very different than the regular sodium-infused kind.

Spread almonds on a cookie sheet and bake in preheated 350 oven for 18 to 20 minutes.

Empty hot almonds into large bowl and immediately pour tamari over them. Toss almonds in the tamari until well coated. They will hiss, but keep stirring.

Spread nuts on cookie sheet and let dry for about an hour.

Can be stored in a covered container for up to two months.
