Moment of Magic
by Pamela La Regina

As the bird watcher's heart soars like an eagle when he espies a rare and beautiful species of bird, and as the golfer's breath is taken away as he stares in near disbelief when he aces the hole, so I felt when I discovered this exquisite six leaf clover!

As a four leaf clover hound, it is no strange occurrence for me to come upon a four leaf clover, though it is always a joy and a moment of magic. At times I even find five leafers, rarer still than the fours. This year I have kept account of my findings, and although I have yet to add them all up, I know that the numbers will be well into the hundreds for the fours, and that the fives will be into two digits...and in truth, this picture's six is my number three for the year. However, this one is the "money shot," as it is so richly dressed among the other clovers and the colors of fall.

I invite you to gaze at it and drink in it's beauty and rarity. If you should ever come across a sixer yourself, let's compare notes about the adventure. But be warned, most often what appears at first glance to be a six leaf clover is only two threes stuck together. Best not to shout your find until you carefully verify those numbers. Whether it's a three, a four, five, six, or even seven leafer, however, the lush greens and the lovely shapes will surely enrich your day.
