| “Balance” is
a celebration of the innate feminine power to balance mind, body,
and spirit in a way that brings her great strength. The center image,
a fresco by Nicholas de Roerich entitled “Queen of Heaven,”
represents the divine woman. Above her, the Triple Goddess symbol
marks the three phases of womanhood. Traditionally, the Egyptian ankh
symbolizes life and immortality, the universe, and power. They appear
for this reason, and for their resemblance to the female symbol .
The three angel medallions represent Mind, Body and Spirit. Capturing
the Russian aestheticism of the piece, the words Balance, Mind, Body
and Spirit are written in Russian cyrillic. |
