"Diving Intervention" tells the story of a moment; the kind that changes everything, suddenly and unexpectedly. It was inspired, in part, by the song "You're Beautiful," by James Blunt. Considered a reliquary, or shrine, it was created to capture the essence of the moment and to tell a story.

Each of the elements within the piece takes part in the narrative--from the modified song lyrics, to the alpha and omega symbols, from the three-paned "window" through which you witness the moment, to the brass bells that ring in new energy and well-being.

At the center of the piece is an image of the Archangel Uriel, the angel of transformation. Imprinted around him are the words:

"Archangel Uriel brings divine light into our lives as he releases burdens of the past. He is ruler over magick, sudden changes, universal cosmic consciousness, divine order, enlightenment and insights. He turns our worst disappointments into our greatest blessings."
